KSHARA SOOTHRA :The Hospital has an exclusive unit for
parasurgical procedures for the management of anorectal ailments
such as piles and fistula.
RASAYANA CHIKITSA : A rejuvenation therapy, it aims at
prolonging a healthy lifespan by enhancing body resistance and
longevity through improved state of equilibrium of bodily elements.
SKIN TREATMENT : Ailments like Allergic Dermatitis,
Psoriasis, and Nasyakarma for Chronic Sinusitis Vitiligo (Leucoderma),
Alopecia, Chronic Eczema, Urticeria and fungal infections are
treated through long term in-patient therapy.
SHALAKYA: Eye conditions like Myopia, Hypermetropia,
Presbyopia, Retenitis Pigmentosa, Migraine, Sinusitis and Chronic
Allergic Rhinitis are treated through simple eye exercises
THERAPEUTIC YOGA: The Hospital has a separate yoga wing where
treatment and training is offered in various yogic disciplines by
experienced doctors.
NERVOUS DISORDERS: The Hospital has developed effective
treatment for nerve related diseases like Hemiphlegia (Paralysis),
Paraplegia, Quadriplegia, Parkinson's disease and other neuro
muscular disorders.

Yoga Therapy : The healing aspect of Yoga is taken into
consideration because it is one of the best tools to uproot the

other finer aspects like counselling and positive talking that has

PRITHVI CHIKITSA (MUD THERAPY) : This is a process where pure
mud is applied over the body directly or in the form of packs. The
cooling, chemical and mechanical properties of mud help to treat
problems of skin, joints and metabolic disorders. Abdominal mudpack

Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre
IVAC is located in Mysore, a convenient 2½ hours drive from
Bangalore International Airport. Mysore is well connected by rail
and road. The Centre overlooks the magnificent Lalitha Mahal Palace
and offers a panoramic view of the city and Chamundi Hill.
Accomodation
There are a choice of rooms at the centre ranging from 20 USD to 55
USD for single occupancy and 25 USD to 65 for double.

Special Regular Rooms, Regular rooms.

Panchakarma - Rejuvenative treatments - Holistic - Beauty Treatments
Treatments at IVAC range from the regular Abhyanga (whole body
massage) and the ever popular Shirodhara ( a continuous stream of
oil poured over the forehead) to more advanced massage therapies
such as Sarvangadhara, Patrapinda Sweda and Padaghata. Panchakarma,
a detoxification treatment that takes a week or more is also offered
for all those who wish to rid themselves of all the toxins
accumulated in the body and mind due to a decadent lifestyle.
Holistic
Aroma Therapy
Natural plant oils have been used for thousands of years for their
healing, cleansing, preservative and mood-enhancing properties as
well as the sheer pleasure of their fragrances. Aromatherapy
harnesses the pure essences of aromatic plants, flowers and resins,
to work on the most powerful of the senses- smell and touch- to
restore the harmony of body and mind.
Gem Therapy
Gem therapy has gathered a lot of ground as an alternative form of
healing. Practitioners of this therapy believe that gemstones carry
certain vibrations which when placed within a person's aura, have
the effect of changing it. It is believed that the human aura
consists of nine colours: violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow,
orange, red, infrared and ultra violet. Any deficiency or excess of
these colours upsets the body's energy balance leading to illness.
Gemstones heal by restoring the balance to the original composition
of the nine colours. They transmit a specific wavelength to the
body, which in turn converts these rays into a chemical form that
the body can utilize to improve its functioning.
Beauty treatments
Ayurvedic beauty treatments are also offered at Shringar, the herbal
beauty parlour where no synthetic products are used. Natural and
herbal ingredients are used to pamper the skin and hair and bring
about an inner transformation rather than an external, temporary
improvement.
Ayurvedic Cuisine at IVAC
The herbal garden called "Jyothirvana" has been developed on an
8-acre property near IVAC. This garden has a collection of more than
750 medicinal plants. It is based on a unique philosophical
concept-plants have been carefully chosen and aligned with their
governing planets and zodiac signs.
Dr. Krishna points out that for a person undergoing cleansing or
rejuvenation, food is an essential element and therefore, it has to
be of the finest quality. The team of trained Ayurvedic cooks
provides a simple yet sumptuous vegetarian fare. The kitchen is kept
spotlessly clean and all fruits and vegetables are grown using
organic methods, on the farm itself or at the Herbal Garden, which
is located at a distance of 2kms from the centre.
